Implants

Where neighbouring teeth are not damaged or have no restorations ("virgin" teeth). Where the gaps between teeth are too long for conventional bridges then Implants are the choice of treatment. These are titanium "tooth roots" which are placed in the jawbone by a recognised dental surgeon; this can be done under local anaesthetic and is no more difficult or painless than a normal trip to the dentist for a filling appointment.

These are placed and left in position for 6-10 weeks depending on each case and a temporary plastic partial denture placed in the space till the healing has occurred.

The rest of the procedures are very similar to the crown manufacture.

So at the end of this procedure 'gaps" or missing teeth are replaced with no preparations required on any of the other teeth.
